 About the Organization
Rainbow Nari O Shishu Kallyan Foundation, a non-government, non-profitable and non-political voluntary organization, has been working in the field of Health & Sanitation (Reproductive Health, HIV/AIDS/STDs/STI prevention), Gender Development (Adolescent Girls), Non- Formal Education (For Disadvantage/poor people), Environmental issues & ecosan, Sustainable Development, Leadership Development Programme and various training programme etc. since its inception in 2002.

Vision:

The vision of Rainbow Nari O Shishu Kallyan Foundation is very vast. It is trying to develop the society in a way where the society is materially optimum, socially equitable, ecologically sound and satisfying to live in. It is using its resources to remove the barren, obsessed position of the society. This organization believes that the poor people have every potentiality to build up their own life and to make themselves self- reliance.

Mission:

The mission of Rainbow Nari O Shishu Kallyan Foundation is to make people realize about their potentialities as they can find out their own problems and can take proper actions to remove the problems. The organization would try to ensure the participation of the poor people in their development programme.

 

Objectives:

 

a)     To create awareness among the target groups about their present condition as well as their family life, human rights, social justice and economic situation;

 

b)     To inspire cooperative efforts to mobilize resources and capital of the community for promoting self-reliant people’s organization.

 

c)      To eradicate illiteracy and unemployment through technology based functional and non-formal education;

 

d)   To promote reproductive health (specially STDs/STI, HIV/AIDS) education services so that they can avail themselves the local health resources.

 

e)    To promote environmental sanitation, waste water management (ecosan) education.

Registered under the Societies Registration ACT XXI of 1860 from the Register of Joint Stock Companies and Firms, Dhaka, Bangladesh.
